Vehicle enquiry privacy
This notice covers the Sell Your Car / Part Exchange form operated by DT Motor Group Ltd, Unit 3A, Central Business Center, London NW10 0UR.
What we collect and why
We collect your contact details, vehicle details, condition information and any photos you choose to supply. We use them to assess your vehicle, respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible purchase or part exchange.
Submitting this form does not subscribe you to marketing. Please do not upload identity documents, bank details or photos showing other people. Finance information should be limited to whether finance is outstanding and any relevant summary.
Our basis for using your information
We use the details needed for your valuation on the contract basis: taking steps you request before a possible vehicle purchase or part exchange. We also use limited security records to protect the form against misuse, based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure enquiry service. You can object to this security processing by contacting us.
Storage and access
Requests and photos are held on our website hosting and are available through our authenticated admin inbox. A submission may generate a notification email to our business inbox. If you choose to contact us through email or WhatsApp, that service also handles the information you send.
Website enquiry records are kept for up to 90 days from submission. Expired records are removed when the request system is next used, and expired photos are no longer served. We can delete an enquiry earlier on request. Separate emails, communications, transaction records and hosting backups may follow different retention periods.
Your choices
Photos and postcode are optional. You can ask us to correct your details, explain our use of your information or delete your enquiry by emailing info@dtmotorgroup.co.uk. Include your request reference if available.
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of its use or a portable copy. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or call 0303 123 1113.
Site session
The form uses a session cookie to protect submissions and display your confirmation. It does not use advertising trackers, make an automated valuation decision or send your registration to an external valuation service. Security counters retain a hashed IP address and recent attempt times for up to one hour; old counters are removed on the next submission attempt.
